Dear Divas:

Spring is definitely here and with it the comes two of our favorite holidays - Mother's Day and Memorial Day. Since we're all ladies here (with the exception of the TechHubby!), this issue of the newsletter is especially dedicated to moms.

As you may have noticed, we've lost some writers and columns and renamed some of the others. The Literary Agent is where you will find everything of a writing and reading nature from books and book clubs to book reviews to information on authors and writing. This is a combination of our old Fiction and Reading columns. Diva Dreamchaser will be digging up lots of literary related items for you every month. Living Well is our always popular Health column with what we believe is a much better title for ladies! Diva Bonnie gives us information every month on things we can do to live better and information on health related topics to keep us informed and up to date. Culture Shock is our column about different cultures. Currently, it's written by our editorial staff but we'd love to have someone take it over and make it their own! Or if you prefer, just send us a column about your culture, your religion, your hometown, whatever makes up your personal culture! The Scoop is our media column which is about the arts and entertainment. This is another column covered by the editorial staff but which we'd love to find a columnist for! Mother Earth was formerly our Nature column headed up by Diva Badette and Diva Tam. In Surf's Up, new columnist Diva Pepper Alpine takes over our old Browsing column and gives it a much needed makeover! And finally, Global Village was formerly our Holiday column.

When looking up synonyms for holidays we came across some entries referring to the "global village". Most of what Diva Cally serves us under the name Holidays truly is all about the global village - all the events and happenings that people around the world participate in and celebrate. So there seemed no better name for her column than Global Village. If you want to know what's being celebrated or happening in the Global Village, check out Cally's column cuz it's all there!

We hope that all the Diva moms have a wonderful and special Mother's Day and that those who are not moms have a great day with their mom or remembering their mom. There is nothing more special than that mother-daughter bond and we all know even our mother's passing cannot take that special feeling from us. And for those of us with family members currently serving in the military or who previously served - may Memorial Day be a time for us all to remember the sacrifices of those men and women who fought so hard to make our lives better, in whatever state or country you live in.
