Welcome Divas! These months seem to go by
faster and faster.
Someday I might get one of these articles written before the end of the
month (yeah right). Recently one of
the Divas asked me about some popup error messages in IE6 about script
debugging
that she was constantly getting. She
would visit a site and on nearly every page would get one and was
getting
annoyed by it. The answer should
have been plain for me to see, but it had been so long since I solved
the
problem on our machine that I forgot what I had done.
The simple fact is that unless the script is on one of your own pages,
why would you want to debug it?
Quite
a few sites have scripts that IE thinks are bad and will quite happily
bug you
about. The solution is actually
rather simple. In an IE window, hit
Tools/Internet Options, choose the Advanced tab and check "Disable
script
debugging." While you are there,
go ahead and uncheck 'Display a notification about every script
error.'
These messages should go away once and for all.

If you have questions or comments, I will attempt to address
them as time permits, or if you have an idea for future topics, please
email me at techhubby@divinediva.org
